The VAUDE Hidalgo 42+8 is a large trekking backpack designed specifically for youth. It comes outfitted with an adjustable Tergolight suspension system, which allows for precise adjustment to the wearer’s back size, ensuring even load distribution over the shoulders and hips. This is crucial for longer tours, helping to prevent fatigue and soreness.
The backpack offers ample space for all the essentials needed on a hiking adventure, including a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, spare clothes, and food. It also features a height-adjustable lid with a separate compartment, compression straps, side mesh pockets, gear loops, and a practical zip pocket on the hip belt.
In addition, the Hidalgo 42+8 is made with eco-friendly, water-repellent Eco Finish, which is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC). It’s also bluesign® certified and features the VAUDE Green Shape label, ensuring that it’s environmentally-friendly and made from sustainable materials.
Other features of this backpack include ErgoShape shoulder straps for optimal freedom of movement, an adjustable sternum strap for growing kids, a padded hip belt with a pocket, a variable lid height, a separate bottom compartment, a zip pocket in the lid, integrated outside pockets, two outer mesh pockets, side compression straps, gear attachment, and one pole attachment point.
