Gerber
Gerber Legendary Blades is an American manufacturer of knives, multitools, and other outdoor and military tools. Pete Gerber founded the company in 1939. Its headquarters is located in Oregon, USA. The company is owned by the Finnish outdoor products manufacturer Fiskars.
Gerber is “the largest manufacturer of knives and multitools for the United States Armed Forces.” Particularly famous is the LMF II infantry knife, which has a partial tang blade instead of a full blade, which in turn avoids electric shocks. The knife was designed to free pilots from downed planes. Gerber also has a series of survival knives.
Gerber has its own Pro Program, which offers leading members of the Gerber community and industry the opportunity to purchase knives, tools and equipment at special prices in recognition of significant contributions to their industry, community and nation.
