The Caprella 2-Step Knife Sharpener has two ceramic rods and two carbide blades with pre-set sharpening angles of 20 degrees for consistently perfect edges. The edge on a very dull knife can be quickly restored with three or four strokes through the carbide sharpening slots. The two ceramic rods that are crossed are useful for giving already-sharp blades a quick touchup.
