Product Description
NRS Tow Tether with Carabiner
The powerful NRS Tow Tether with built-in bungee is used in combination with the quick-release harnesses on rescue life jackets.
- The Tow Tether, also known as a “cow tail,” improves boat towing in rescue situations.
- The stainless steel O-ring has a hook patch of “hook and loop” material that helps in centering the O-ring on vests with the loop material sewn on the back.
- The carabiner end of the Tether also has a hook patch. This connects to a loop piece available on some rescue PFDs to form a quick-release holder for the carabiner.
- The NRS Nuq Twist Lock Carabiner prevents accidental snags on brush or other gear in the field.

NRS
NRS, celebrating 50 years, was founded in 1972 by Bill Parks, a passionate river runner and business professor. With a $2,000 investment, he started with boating gear in his garage and created the first Northwest River Supplies catalog. Bill’s love for rivers, adventure, and helping others pursue their water passions continues to inspire the dedicated team, even after his passing at 88. Today, nearly 100 employee-owners are committed to carrying forward his vision, all driven by their shared love for water and adventure.
