The ARCTIC mid layer set's thick merino knit (260g/m2) is made entirely of merino wool. Men's mid layer pants have been designed to protect from the cold and moisture in harsh Northern conditions. The mid layer set serves multiple functions. Thick midlayer pants can be worn against the skin or over a merino wool base layer.
Merino wool is a completely natural material derived from merino sheep. Merino wool fibers trap warm air between the skin and the outer layer. Natural fibers effectively wick moisture away from the skin. Because of its antibacterial properties, it is often enough to simply air the cloth to make it fresh again. North Outdoor uses ethically produced mulesing-free merino wool.
