Product Description
Ingstad Waxless Ski: Lightweight, Agile, and Versatile Mountain Ski
The Ingstad Waxless ski is a modern mountain ski designed for demanding downhill runs with excellent turning characteristics. It also performs well on flat terrain. It features a marked Nordic rocker and tapered tip for enhanced agility and directionality. The ski’s lightweight construction, with a Paulownia and Poplar wood core, weighs only 2,050 g at 195 cm.
Compatible with Rottefella Xplore/75 mm or BC bindings, it offers versatility. For optimal performance on Åsnes trap systems, a narrow 45 mm mohair skin is recommended for cold, flat roads, while a 58 mm synthetic skin suits wet roads and steep terrain.
Helge Ingstad (1899–2001), a fur hunter, polar explorer, and scientist, contributed to the portrayal of trappers’ adventurous lives through his bestselling books. He also conducted research on polar cultures and the history of northern regions, shedding light on Norse settlements in America.
