Spend a day in Saariselkä combining outdoor activity, local food, and a touch of fun for all ages. This experience brings together a guided trek in the fell landscape and one of the area’s most popular winter activities.
The day begins with a guided snowshoe trek through the open tundra. Moving across the snowy landscape, your guide shares insights into Arctic nature, local wildlife, and how people have adapted to life in the north. The pace is relaxed, with time to take in the surroundings along the way.
After the trek, it’s time to warm up and enjoy a lunch featuring local ingredients. It’s a chance to rest, recharge, and share the highlights of the morning.
In the afternoon, the experience continues at Saariselkä’s toboggan slope. A chairlift takes you up the fell, where wide views open up over the surrounding landscape. From the top, you’ll ride down Finland’s longest toboggan run on an illuminated slope.
