Haven Tents
Haven Tents is a camping tent brand founded by Derek Tillotson in 2019. Tillotson and his wife McKenzie were on a world tour with their three children in 2018 when they decided to make it their Year of Creativity. While camping on their family ranch in Oregon, Tillotson found it hard to get comfortable in a traditional camping hammock and came up with an idea for a camping hammock tent that would allow for a flat-lay sleeping position. After many prototypes and feedback from friends and family, the Haven Tent was born. The business was launched on Kickstarter in September 2019 but faced immediate delays due to the global pandemic. However, the Haven Tent received positive feedback and has gained popularity among camping enthusiasts. The company has since added more talent to its team to further its goal of making sleep the highlight of camping.
Haven Tents aims to bring the comforts of home to the outdoors with its patented camping hammocks designed to keep users comfortable throughout the night. The brand has introduced new products and accessories, including Haven XL and Haven Safari. Its headquarters are located in Sandy, Utah, and the team is invested in designing products that prioritize making sleep the highlight of camping. The brand tests its gear rigorously to ensure that users can adventure with confidence and get a good night's sleep with a Haven Tent.

How does the standard rainfly differ from the lightweight rainfly?
Can you explain how to use the toggles and loops on the rainfly?
Each rainfly for your Haven Tent is equipped with toggles and loops to secure it in different ways. The rainfly can be rolled up and secured above your ridgeline with the two loose toggles attached to the ridgeline. You can choose between two methods to secure the rainfly depending on whether you want to use the bug net or not.
If you want to secure the rainfly while using the bug net, you can detach the toggles from the ridgeline, zip the bug net closed, roll up both sides of the rainfly from the bottom of the tent to the ridgeline, and then wrap and secure the toggles around each end of the rainfly. When a storm rolls through, you can undo the toggles and batten the fly to the corner toggles of the hammock body.
If you want to secure both the rainfly and the bug net, you can unzip the bug net on each side, roll up both sides of the rainfly and net at the same time from the bottom of the tent to the ridgeline, and then wrap and secure the toggles around each end of the rainfly and net without detaching the toggles from the ridgeline. When a storm rolls through, you can undo the toggles and batten the fly to the corner toggles of the hammock body.
What is the purpose of the grommets on the Rainfly?
The Haven Rainfly has 4 round metal grommets located at each corner. These grommets are intended to be used to secure the fly to the corner toggles to activate "storm mode" during inclement weather.
It's important to note that the grommets should not be used to support horizontal tension by attaching any guyline or cord to them. Doing so can cause the rainfly to tear. Therefore, it's recommended to only use the grommets for their intended purpose of securing the fly to the corner toggles.
