The North Outdoor Arctic mid layer’s thick merino knit (260 g/m2) is made entirely of merino wool. The men’s mid layer shirt has been designed for the harsh Northern conditions to keep you warm and dry. The longer back hem and covered zipper add to the comfort. The mid layer suit serves multiple purposes. The thick midlayer shirt can be worn against the skin or over a merino wool base layer.
Merino wool is a completely natural material derived from merino sheep. Merino wool fibers trap warm air between the skin and the outer layers of clothing. Natural fibers are excellent at wicking moisture away. Because of the antibacterial properties of the material, it is often possible to simply air out the clothes rather than washing them. North Outdoor uses ethically produced mulesing-free merino wool.
