Anfibio Wideseat with Backrest
The Anfibio PackSeat is a seat option for Anfibio Packraft models that is not included in the standard scope of delivery (for example with the Anfibio Rebel 2K). As a result, it can be purchased independently, as a replacement, or in addition! It is also compatible with a wide range of other packrafts and boat types. Before making a purchase, please check the inner width of the boat to ensure compatibility.
In its most basic form, the Anfibio WideSeat is identical to the Anfibio PackSeat (material, mounting, construction) – it has a closed surface and a fully integrated backrest for added comfort.
The WideSeat, on the other hand, is distinguished by its increased width and height. It fits more snugly in the boat (depending on model) and provides a higher sitting position, resulting in a more upright (paddle) position, better overview, and advanced boat control (leverage effect and edging). It makes paddling more pleasant and less tiring, especially over long distances, such as when fishing or on fast-flowing rivers.
Use
The seat has a central ladderlock that is secured with a strap (standard in Anfibio models, to be mounted in other models). Because it is not required to be fixed, the seat can be used in any other packraft or boat.
The majority of users find the flat and closed seat surface to be more comfortable (e.g. in contrast to the horseshoe shape). It can also be used as a camp seat or a pillow.
The Anfibio WideSeat, at 295g, is still backpack-compatible, but it is not the lightest version. The Anfibio PackSeat or the Anfibio PackSeat light are lighter alternatives.
